About Organizations

• Canada Managed Customer — Indicates the organization is a customer that is managed by the Canadian Managed Human Resources (MHR) group.
• US Managed Customer — Indicates the organization is a customer that is managed by the US Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) group.
• Test Company - Customer – Indicates the organization is a customer test company. Cannot be assigned to users with email addresses containing "Dayforce".
• Test Company – Reserved for use by Dayforce administrators. Indicates the organization is an internal Dayforce test company. Only Dayforce employees can be assigned to an organization of this type.
• Dayforce — Reserved for use by Dayforce administrators. Only Dayforce administrators will have access to this organization.

When the organization is set up, the first user account, referred to as the IAM admin account, is added to the organization. This user account has responsibility for configuring the organization so that all other user accounts can be created and users can access the partner applications that the organization uses. All user accounts in the organization are assigned roles specific to their job functions on the Users page.

When you log in to Dayforce Identity Access Management (IAM) and open the Organization page, your user role controls the organizations that appear in search results.

• Dayforce administrators have security permissions to work with all organizations, so all organizations appear in the organizations search list. Search for the organization you want to work with, select it in the list, and the organization details are displayed on the Organization page.
• Client organization administrators have security permissions to work with only their own organizations. Select the organization in the list and the organization details are displayed on the Organization page.
